He is also interested in performance as he was recently invited to perform as Justine de Beauvoir, his drag alter ego in the play Jérôme Bel’s Gala.

Born in Burundi, Aime Grimana is an asylum seeker who came to Hong Kong in 2004. He was the first refugee to be employed in Hong Kong legally in 2013. He has since been working to help others who are stuck between a rock and a hard place, and he was awarded the Hong Kong Humanity Award in 2022 for his phenomenal work.
